Obviously any internal work undertaken here would have to complement the quality and style of the building’s exterior. We began a full refurbishment of the property in the summer of 2016, to include new bathrooms, kitchens, living areas and bedrooms.
The sum of the parts…
We started by working in close collaboration with our design partners David Sayer and Associates to plan every detail of the finishes in each room. Our own teams planned, designed and built hand-crafted bedroom suites and handmade kitchens. We also gave the bathrooms book-matched marble floors and walls, complemented by designer sanitary ware and furnishings. Then the association with David Sayer produced a range of finishes for the main flooring areas. Oak with granite inlays formed room borders. Ceiling cornices and decorated mouldings brought the traditional exterior architectural style inside. Recessed lighting provided mood and atmosphere. The results were stunning – as we knew they would be from the design and planning stage onwards.
